My Story

Hi, mama! I'm Kim.

Once upon a time I loved adding stamps to my passport, scuba diving, and lying poolside with a good book. Since this sweet girl arrived, I’m thankful for baby snuggles, hot coffee, clean hair, alone time with my husband and an hour to myself to browse HomeGoods and Target.

I married my high school sweetheart on April Fool’s Day in 2016. (No joke.) Three years later, after a 15-hour, unmedicated labor using hypnosis techniques, our beautiful daughter arrived.

I’ve always wanted to be a mom. But I never expected to feel like Superwoman and as though the walls were caving in at the same time. Add to the usual challenges of motherhood an itchy infant with unidentified causes of eczema, intense dietary restrictions for our breastfeeding journey, and going back to work simultaneously, and the result is one stressed mama just trying to do right by her baby (and stay sane).

I started this blog to follow where my passions lead me and be an inspiring role model for my daughter. I’ve spent my career driving visibility for big brands and their initiatives; now, I want to follow my passion and focus on helping other mamas!

I spent so much time Googling and reading and Pinterest-ing to make my way through pregnancy, labor and delivery, and the fourth trimester. Now that I’m on the other side, I have so much insight to share with youall in one spot!

With encouragement from Hubby, my family, some dear-to-me fellow mamas, and a whole lot of coffee beans and bravery, my hope is that this blog will grow to be among your go-tos for helpful resources as you start your amazing journey into motherhood.

About This Blog

Becoming a mama is stressful! This blog serves to empower fellow mamas who are beginning the motherhood journey. My goal is to help you stress less and maximize your precious family (and personal) time so you can avoid sweating the small stuff and simply love being “Mom”.

Here, you will find a treasure trove of my favorite things, tips, hacks and easy DIY projects. I’ll share all of my mom wisdom (for whatever it’s worth to you), gut instincts, research, and “me time” inspiration.

I scrape together whatever time I can find (like during 3 a.m. serenades from my little nugget through the baby monitor) to write for you … and it makes me so happy!

So, thank you so much for following along on my journey. I hope you’ll come back often, or subscribe below to get updates delivered right to your inbox.
